Blueberry Sangria Recipe
Blueberries are great in the summertime, and have many health benefits. Tuft's University rated blueberries as #1 in antioxidants when compared with 40 other fruits and veggies in this category. Get your oh-so-important antioxidants in a delightful, refreshing drink!
Ingredients
1 750ml bottle Spanish (or other favorite) red wine
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup apricot-flavored brandy
2 cups blueberries
1 cup sliced red grapes
1 cup sliced purple grapes
Prepare a large bowl or pitcher. Mix together the red wine, sugar and brandy until well blended. Add in the blueberries, red grapes and purple grapes. Refrigerate overnight to allow the berry flavors to soak into the mixture.
Serve the next day from a large pitcher filled with ice. Enjoy the delicious antioxidant benefits of the red wine and blueberries! If you have some blueberries left over, freeze them and use them as natural ice cubes.
To turn this into a single-glass sangria recipe, a typical assumption is that one 750ml bottle of wine yields four large glasses of wine. Divide all ingredients shown by four. If you're making just one glass worth you probably don't want to wait for the overnight soaking. If the mixture doesn't soak, you just won't get as much of the fruit / berry flavors permeating the sangria.

Note: I created these sangria recipes and have had them online for years. If you find similar sangria recipes elsewhere, it's because someone copied my idea. I do appreciate it when visitors write in to warn me about the plagiarism - but usually there's not much I can do about it! What's really funny is when they copy my design right down to my sangria pitcher. That's a bit much :)
